Rev. Debbie Wallace
Rev. Deborah Wallace is an Elder of the United Methodist Church. She served for 8 years at Sunshine and Haddock UMC charge in Jones County. In June 2011, the South Georgia Conference appointed Rev. Wallace as a General Evangelist and Romans 8:38 Ministries was born. Romans 8:38 Ministries is based on God’s never ending love and presence in our lives as it states: “I am convinced that nothing can separate us from God’s love.” The ministry is to be a resource for services that not only speak the word of God but demonstrate the love of Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit. The ministry includes retreats, revivals, small group study, bible study development, children and youth functions and homeless ministries.
Debbie is a graduate of Emory University with a Masters of Divinity and a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia with a BS in Occupational Therapy. She continues to work as an Occupational Therapist at Amedisys Home Health Agency in Macon, Ga. The mixture of ministry and healthcare has led Pastor Debbie to this new journey of evangelism in the community. Her past ministries include small group bible studies, founder of the Day in the Garden Retreat Series, and many retreats for women, youth and children. She is currently working on a bible study entitled “Beyond a Touch” on how God speaks to us through our senses and how we express Christ’s love and forgiveness through the inspiring and equipping power of the Holy Spirit. It is Pastor Debbie’s desire to lead people to accept Christ and grow in their faith in order to experience God’s love and forgiveness through the Holy Spirit and to glorify God in the world.
